low-end laser or Inkjet for printing text

Hi
I need to buy a printer for printing off college work, can't decide if a low end laser or an inkjet that can use cheap compatible cartridges would be cheaper.
Can get a laserjet 1018 for €60 + delivery(http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=41VR&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=laserjet+1018&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0) + 40-50 for a toner cartridge. Would I be better of getting a similar priced inkjet and buying cheap cartridges?
Anyone have any recommendations, speed isn't that important

laser toners will print off a hell of alot more then a ink jet. In the long run you will find the laser to be cheaper. And the first toner you get with the printer will only be about 50% full.

Anyone have any experience with the above printer or any similar printer as web reviews i've found are mixed.

EDIT: Also, little factoid, ml for ml, printer ink is more expensive than rocket fuel.
