Planning on heading to Stockholm for few nights in January. Has anyone been there at this time of year and know what it's like and what the weather is like. I presume it will be cold but how cold?

Plenty of recent threads on here re: Stockholm.

It will not be as cold as you might imagine, the fact it's on the coast means
it avoids the worst of the weather. Plenty of layers is the secret.
It'll get dark early in the afternoon, 15.00 ish.

I'd recommend a stroll around Gamla Stan, maybe a boat-trip around the
islands and city. Vassa Museum is worth a look.

    It's a beautiful city and I'd highly recommend a break there - and it's
not much more expensive than Dublin.

i agree with the above poster lad.

great city, he did more stuff than i did, but prices are Dublin style, scandinavia is tarred with the expensive brush but i thought stockholm and copenhagen were dublin style, altho oslo is a bit shocking.

was there in early march so i reckon it'll be DARK-OUT! in Jan

danish women are better looking by far too
