I've discovered something odd with my phone after switching back to vodafone.

I can receive and make calls without any problems. I can receive texts but when I try send them my phone says "check operator services"

Has anyone ever come across a problem like this before?

My phone is an unlocked nokia 3510i if that helps anyone.

Sounds like the message centre no is wrong. A quick phone call to voda CC will sort this issue out.

Your service centre no(is that what it's called) could be wrong.

Edit: SDoom bet me to it and it was message centre.

    Try either if these.

Changed the SMSC to both those numbers and still ended up with check operator services message.

Did you put a + before the number?

    Try +35387699989 or +35387699959

    Yeah I used the +

    Not that stupid :p

Is there any specific options I should set in the sending profile? Like use GPRS or something?

From my experience with Voda porting, u will need to give customer care a buzz just to enable the sms sending after porting. It unfortunately doesn't work automatically all the time.

1850 208787 Give an operator a shout power phone on and off and you should be grand

Sorry I didn't even know if they were the right numbers. I did a google and got this page. Thought it might work. I'm with 3 and all my family are o2 so I haven't got access to a vodafone phone. You might get better luck in the morning though. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
