    Hi folks,

I'm trying to download Skype on my laptop but it's just not happening.
I keep getting a warning message telling me that "big_long_directory_name/SkypeSetup[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application".
Anyone else had this problem? How did you get around it?

I'm not a computer whiz so simple explanations if possible please, thank you!

Taken from a member on the SKype forums

Not sure if it'll work, but worth a try.
go to control panel>internet options, and delete cookies and temp files.
download the Skype software again, but save it in a different folder.
    Try running it again.
