We don't need this kind of crap on the forum.

    Take your negativity elsewhere please.

Nobody wants a "fan" like you.

Boards users arent fans of Ireland at the moment we seem to have taken the form of a mob demanding a burning.

Look, whatever about the team playing badly and the reasons for it. Crap like the above is not welcome on the forum.

I'd like to think that some of the members here are above that kind of rubbish.

Just goes to show the amount of fair weather supporters that are out there.

It doesn't take anything to support a team when they're doing well.

Mainly cause EVERYONE and i mean everyone was in a bubble of confidence that was burst after the Nambian and Georgia games. I defy you to go find a thread that was a downer about the wins over SA and the Wallabies created during the autumn you wont find it my bet is. The fact is our bubble burst and we fell hard on the floor of reality to figure out where we stand as a rugby nation.

Ill put my hand up and say yes i was in that bubble i had hopes like everyother fan that we would get far but after the warm up's and then the opener's we went on a one way mission of dissecting every Irish win from the last year and giving reasons why it wasnt deserved

What happened to free speech ?

In fairness the injured bench in the irish camp is begining to fill up fairly quickly since friday !

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they've been playing matches every week for the past three weeks?

    Do you play rugby regularly?

Do you have any idea how easy it is to pick up a knock?

Amz, I think you just hit the nail on the head indirectly. A large part of the reason that the message board has been so fair weather is, IMO, down to the fact that an awful lot of those making the most noise haven't a ****ing clue what they are talking about.

How about maybe they're training super hard to give themselves a chance?

and I agree with Amz - its so easy to pick up a little knock in a match.

I haven't played since May but have played for 16 years on and off with my fair share of knocks etc, however these are PROFESSIONAL players who were rested the whole summer so 3 games in 14 days isn't that much to ask of them, especially when they have a wealth of expertise in recovery management at their disposal !!!

And just incase any allegations of fair weather fan come flying at me, I've been a leinster fan for 7 years so can't be accused of fair weather support :p

You do understand the difference between fatigue and and injury don't you?

what has resting got to do with picking up knocks or being PROFESSIONAL? They are playing against other PROFESSIONALS who are quite able to injure anyone however fit they are, compared to practically every other side our injuries have been limited.

Yes I do. And do you understand that professional teams use recovery plans for fatigue as well as injury ????

I'm not saying that BOD is feigning injury but just saying that the OP is entitled to his say no matter who knee jerk it maybe !

Well by the rules of this forum I am not entitled to post what I really think of the OP.
Of course he is entitled to an opnion, along the line of BOD and ROG are playing poorly and should be dropped etc. There is a major difference between this and the crap he posted.

I am well aware of injury management plans I am sure they will use such a plan to make sure that the guys are ready for action on Sunday. During the six nations there were plenty of players sitting out training sessions in between games also, with none of this crap.

But you think it is ok to cast groundless slurs on player who have been great servants of Irish rugby over the years and will be in the future again, because they are having a very poor run of form at the worst possible time in their careers?

My main point was that with the recovery facilities at the disposal of the irish team means that 3 games in 2 weeks shouldn't have the same effect on them that it would have on your average club player who has only a bath and ice pack at their disposal.

Of course they would heal a little quicker, but it is only 3 days after probably one of the the most physical game of the RWC so far, so of course there will be players still carrying knocks and that is nothing unusual. Besides there was nothing in the article to suggest that any of the injuries were serious concerns or that sitting out training was anything more than a precaution.

The whole squad except Rory Best again is available. I guess the "feigning" theory has been debunked.

FFS, they were only minor injuries, sitting out a training session as a precaution and now they're feigning injury?!
Apparently Flannery looked in a lot of pain but luckily it was just a stinger in the shoulder and he was fine afterwards :)

I suggest anyone concerned with professional international players feigning injury head over to Sunderland and ask Roy Keane about it. He's an expert in the subject and I'm sure he would be more than happy to educate you about it.
