I use one, its an excellent camcorder at the price..

I would advice picking up an additional battery. but that rule applies to any camcorder..

Its a good machine and perfect for your use. light and easy to use and good quality image...

My Dad has a lesser-specced version of this camcorder (the HC20, I think) - and it works great and the picture quality is excellent too. And yes, definitely order a second battery if you decide to get one of these!
