H Dip in Ireland compared to a PGCE in UK ?

I am thinking of doing the H Dip in Education next year. I have an Honours Degree & Masters. My interest is in teaching Maths. How does the PGCE from the UK compare with the H Dip Ed in Ireland ? What are the Pros & Cons with each of these courses ?
