Cheapo upgrade from a X850XT

AS the title says, thinking of giving my Dell 8400 a lil boost in the graphics dept. I current have a P4 3.4GHz, 2 gig RAM and a X850XT. So just wondering if I could spend €100-€150 and get a better video card. Not much point in spending much more unless I go for a full upgrade.

Any suggestions?

I would have thought an x850xt would be in or around a 7600gt/8600gt in terms of performance , if not better. The only downside is that it does not have SM3.

TBH, I'm not sure what it would equal, it's quite old now that it doesn't feature in any of the recent video card comparison charts. Although when I got the 8400 it was the fastest card at the time.

As it is in the overall benchmark. So there is no real point in upgrading , unless you want SM3 support.

Well surely upgrading to something like a x1800 would see a performance improvement?

Yeah , but I would not imagine you could get that for €100-150, although I may be wrong.

Whats the PSU like in the Dell? I ask as a)Dell is a b|tch to upgrade, PSU wise, and b)how much Wattage will the x1800 need?
