Furious over comments said by my ex boss

Ok basically I left my last job yesterday, I had basically been on the dole for over a year after college .
In my final year I’d become very ill and missed part of the year I was then to be let repeat the part I’d missed the following year but then there was problems in the college and they decided I was to finish the work at home.
I couldn’t find work in my chosen profession without the qualification and was trying to establish myself as free lance and work was sporadic so II went on the dole. After a year I decided to go back to get a day job and try save up enough to move to a country where I could find work
In the dole there was an agreement with the guy I went to in there that I’d have a few months to finish off repeats for a college course (it was project based and took up a lot of time) in my own time hence not a full time student and not eligible for any kind of grant but also if I took a job it would interfere with my college he was very accommodating and so it was all ok, so long as I appeared to be also actively seeking work for when I was finished.
So I went looking for a part time job and I got some work on the casual work scheme with the view to moving into more permanent work once I finished the college course but my boss in work started kicking up fuss.
I had to basically get dockets signed by her each week to say what hours I'd worked and then hand them into the dole. I only worked 12 hours a week in there and she was always going mad at me to work more even though she knew my situation and I explained to her that I wouldn't be able to work more till September, which I was intending to do.
She was also getting pissed at me because I rang in sick twice , I have a very bad stomach problem (same one from college) at the moment and offered medical documentation and promised to make up the missed shifts the following month when I had more time after finishing college
So she rings up the head of my social security place and complained that she could offer me a full time position so they put pressure on my liaison who explained everything but told me that I was now getting cut off on September first,
now I was happy to work more hours once I was finished but that pissed me off, so I informed her that basically it wasn't worth my while now staying (I was only making 34 quid a day 4 of which went on travel )
And to make enough money to live id have to work pretty much 7 days a week. so to cut a long story short I went and got another job I did the interview and was offered the job the next morning and so I gave a weeks’ notice I thought this was ok because since I only worked 12 hours a week and the staff turn over’s massive anyways it wouldn't be that big a problem but she went ballistic at me.
So I wound up leaving on bad terms which I didn't want to do.
Then I heard from a co worker that she was going mad about me and saying that if I was in her country (think she’s Spanish)id be no better than a gypsy and that id be put to work in landfills and all manner of racist crap. I was pretty pissed about it when I heard but I really don't know what to do.
Part of me wants to complain, It’s not right to treat an employee like crap just because they’re on the dole but also if I do I’ll get my mate in trouble which I’m not prepared to do.
It’s so annoying ‘cos I actually really liked working there but she made me feel like scum every time I had to get a docket signed and it wasn’t a very comfortable working situation.

i had the same dockets mate,but my employer said they had to be sent to head office,about 2 months later they hadnt come back and you know they must be in every week.that meant me cut off from dole,and them getting pissed off because they werent coming in.and my old work being ignorant and non caring at all about it.
thats when you learn people can be absolute pricks who just care for themselves,especially your bosses,dont be upset by a self important prick

you should always remember, some people are very very small, rise above it. and remember that you're much better than they are
