Well it looks like this world cup is over for Ireland, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We have a lot of young players coming through in practically all positions so,what team would you pick for the upcoming six nations?

    I would pick
    1.Young
    2.Flannery
    3.???
    4.Caldwell/Hogan
    5.O'Connell/Toner
    6.Best
    7.Jennings
    8.Leamy/Heaslip

    9.Reddan
    10.Wallace/Humphries
    11.???
    12.D'Arcy/Trimble
    13.BO'D
    14.Horgan
    15.Murphy/Kearney

    16.Best
    17.???
    18.Hogan/Toner
    19.Ferris
    20.Boss
    21.Wallace/Humphries
    22.Trimble/Kearney

What do you think? No options at prop, that I can think of,but other than that the squad looks fairly strong.

I think the bones of the team will still be there and would have the following 22. Bearing in mind we need results for confidence and also blooding new players toward next WC.

    1 Horan
    2 Flannery
3 Hayes - another year left at this level
4 O Callaghan - still young enough for another 3 or more seasons
5 O Connell - talisman who has to rediscover form and may make next WC
6 Wallace hes a gr8 ball carrier - should swap in and out with best
7 Jennings - we need an over the gound skillful openside
8 Leamy - i would have leamy at 6 after Heaslip comes in maybe 1-2 years
9 - Reddan - i think hes 26 - bestter all round payer than any other
10 o gara - need to identify a new young talen to play back up - Paul Warrick? I think he is irish qualified and is in mid 20s. Very gifted player
    11 Murphy
    12 Darcy
    13 Odriscoll
    14 Horgan
    15 Dempsey
    16 Rory Best
    17 Young
18 Bob Casey form lock in the premiership? Form Eddie Form!!
    19 Neil Best
    20 Paul Warrick
    21 Andrew Trimble
    22 Peter Stringer/Isacc Boss

We need new props and a new out-half for a start.

But it doesnt really matter who we get if EOS is still manager.

Getting rid of Eddie is an imperative, I believe. Especially while we have the bones of a good team around.

If left to drift, under EOS, for another year the situation will be unrecoverable and team building from the bottom up will be required.
