    what does engineering involve????(civil or mechanical)......is this career well paid????is there very longs hours???any advice appreciated!!!CHEERS!!!

    i just started it and tbh its tough, especially if you dont have physics from the lc as in ucd they dont fell the need to start from the beginning in mist of the classes, but i hear the pay is good when you eventually get there!

    yeah some classes are hard but some are a joke then aswell, in semester 1 ive to do 2 different maths classes, electronic engineering, mechanics which is basically applied maths, chemistry, and physics. I only do all of them because 1st year is common in ucd for all engineering disciplines

    I thought that was only in Trinity (for the first two years) but in UCD you can specialize from year one in Civil, Mech, Electronic etc?

    nah you dont specialise until year two or to an extent in semester 2, you can eneter through mech civil etc but youll still be doing the same subjects as everyone else

    im so doing structural and civil engineering. applied maths for the rest of my life. :D
