    Dear Sir / Madam

Sorry for intruding in the classical section ...(haven't spent much time here to be honest..)

Our recently formed band is called Milan Panic and we play a nice mix of power-pop, chamber pop and indie rock. We're looking for a few new recruits (and ideally from a more classical background)

We like an awful lot of stuff but in terms of the sound we're looking for probably think elements of velvet underground / sufjan stevens / tropocalia / pscyhedelic rock / arcade fire / lali puna / mum / belle and sebastian / flaming lips / nick drake / beach boys / sigur ros. We have a lot of hopefully good material and some interest from a label so we're looking to complete our line-up and really focus on our sound and arrangements. We're aiming for original edgy melody-driven songs which have varied instrumentation and nice arrangements....hence why we're looking for musicians more classically trained but that have a real interest in pop/rock too...

Currently we're looking for a pianist / keyboards (and also a drummer..) - which will complete the core line-up. The medium-term plan is more of a collective (think Broken Social Scene / Arcade Fire) so we're also looking for other musicians (strings, brass, woodwind) who might like to take part on a more part-time basis (or potentially be more involved if something in particular was working well). A multi-instrumentalist woud be perfect actually...

If any of this sounds of interest please get in touch for more info and for some demos. Age-wise ideally 26-33, we're in dublin centre / south, any nationality, male / female welcome. We would welcome musicians with theory etc and who have an interest in arranging etc - but bare in mind none of us are classically trained or brilliant musicians... Ideally candidates should have a nice mix of laidback'ness and ambition / profesionalism...

    Please pm if interested

    Thanks for your time

    Milan Panic

post your message on gumtree as well, and put a sign up in places like music maker, opus 2, some of the internet cafes, as well as some of the music colleges, and UCD/Trinity/DCU!
