Has anyone taken advantage of the free upgrade from Kaspersky Version 6.0 to Kaspersky 7.0? Any problems? Vista problems? Advice?

I have the 30 day free trial of it.

It looks amazing in my opinion, and they have definitely improved on an already excellent scanner. They have a rootkit scanner which is a really smart idea, and the layout of the program looks a lot nicer and sharper.

I would update asap, no reason to be using the old version.

How do you activate the full version of 7.0?? I paid for version 6.0 which is still covered till early 08, but I installed vista recently. 6.0 would not install on vista so I went and downloaded version 7.0 and i'm currently just using it's free trial with like 10 days remaining....

Is there a way to continue my subscription with the new version?? If so then how the hell do I do it cause there is no way I'm paying for something I shouldnt have to...

I have an installation disk which is licensed to me.. I wonder if it will read that I have the new version installed and offer activate it?

I'm running Vista Ultimate, had no probs installing 6.0, and have been running it since about April 2007. Works better than any security suite I have ever used at home or work (including Norton, McAfee, and Trend Micro). Plan to upgrade to 7.0 as soon as I get time.

If you had installed 6.0, the 7.0 upgrade for the remainder of the subscription period is free. All they ask for is you reg number from 6.0. Not sure about transferring your reg number from uninstalled 6.0 to the demo 7.0. They probably have not anticipated this type of conversion? Have you tried emailing them in Moscow? They would probably let you do it and give you credit for the unexpired period on your 6.0.

I run 7.0 on Vista, however, I just recently switched to Kaspersky so I never saw 6.0. I am very happy with 7.0 and use the full version. It's very light on the resources in comparison to its competitors and has performed brilliantly so far. That being said, I have no frame of reference to compare it to in 6.0, but I can tell you 7.0 is grand sure.

The free online download going from 6.0 to 7.0 was user-friendly and a piece of cake.

i've recently upgraded to the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security and it has been nothing but a pain in the behind since.

Running on XP sp2 it won't let me send mail from Outlook Express and is killing my browser, even if I turn off the Web Protection completely.

Have tried the hotfix on their site but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Use the firewall training mode on KIS7.0 and establish rules for access to sites you use. Then either keep the firewall in high security for surfing in stealth mode, or low security for gaming.
