I have recently moved to the UK to go to University. My sister told me that you can pay the Irish PRSI instead of the UK one as I would like to keep my stamps up at home. Does anybody know how to go about this?

I'm not too sure about this issue. you could contact the voluntary contributions section in the Department of Social & family Affairs in Waterford for more info before you go:

To become a voluntary contributor, you must complete application form VC 1 and return it to:

Department of Social and Family Affairs
    Cork Road
    Waterford.
