    This was offered on freecycle, I replied enquiring about pickup but I just want to check whether it's worth the price (free)

    Intel Celeron processor 400mhz
    128mb ram
    CD rom
    14" crt vdu
    keyboard
    mouse
    6gb hard drive

    Windows 2000

    Oh lord that's crap...still, it's something for nothing. Don't expect to run anything made after 2000 on it.

    Eh, it is fine for word processing, email, internet but not much more. :)

    Yes, its worth it if its free. It'd be worth about 10-20 euro at best. It'd be fine for MS word, internet and that sort of stuff. I ran XP on a Celeron 400mhz with 128mb and it was very usable....for the above mentioned tasks.

    Not all at the same time, of course :rolleyes: - also OP if you use Firefox, from what I've heard and from personal experience it's better to use IE on something like this. Firefox, though massively improved since its RAM-eating days, still tends to be a little more resource-hungry.
