This, young whippersnappers, was once "all the rage", the most talked about thing on the internet.

I remember playing it for all my friends, relatives, visitors :o

The dancing baby still disturbs me a little, even after seeing far freakier things in the intervening years since I saw it last.

Never mind the internet, it was once the most talked about and requested song on the late John Peel's radio show, of all things, back in 1999 when The Cuban Boys turned it into this.............

Hell, it nearly got the Christmas No. 1 that year, I remember.

I guess in some ways you could call 'The Hamster Dance' the original 'Crazy Frog' seeing how in both cases it was a simple animation on a website that ended up spawning hit singles.

Everybody probably knows this one but the 'wayback machine' on this site is great for checking cached sites from way back.

For example, the classic Hotmail interface.
