Software Testing Course

    Hi,

I haven't got that much 'real world experience' in IT (I have around 2 years experience on and off coupled with an A+) but I really want to steer clear from mundane 'helpdesk/call centre' rolls that seems to be everywhere. So I was thinking of doing a course in FAS. I did the FAS PC Maintenance & Repair course a while ago and I found it quite good so I checked the site again and found this course: Software Testing.

I'm not really sure what software testing entails but to me it seems like only a tiny fraction of the course is dedicated to software testing and the rest looks like the contents of the PC Maintenance & Repair course that I already did

Has anyone done this course or know somebody who did it so they can let me know if it is worth doing or not.

    Thanks,

    Phil :)

I've got no knowledge of the course but based on the online description I would agree with your assessment of it. Unless the 'Software Testing and Localisation' portion of the course makes up a lot more of the course than it appears in the description I'd question how useful it would be.

For the sake of comparison this is a link to a course description of some testing training that I completed a few months back. It's fundamental but was paid for by the company so I took it.
