I'm looknig to have a private party in the arsehole of nowhere for new years eve.

Does anyone know of a hostel, big house or any other dwelling that can be rented for this purpose. Preferably somewhere remote so we can play music late?

    any replies would be appreciated.

    cheers

I booked this castle last year for a party and it is well worth it. http://www.ross-castle.com/

It has around 6 bedrooms and has a huge reception room and a few other smaller ones. There's a round tower too with a couple of rooms in it. We had around 40 people there but you could fit 100.

You might have to tell a few lies when booking it as they're fairly strict.. We said we were just having 12 people staying there!

I think we paid around €750 for the day/night but well worth it, they would probably charge around a grand for new years. Plus its out in the middle of nowhere so no problem with music blaring.

Its in Meath or Cavan (kinda on the border) and its around 55 miles from Dublin.

I don't have anything to do with it so i'm not trying to persuade you but it sounds like it could suit if you're willing to spend that amount.

I'd reccomend a deloran and install a flux capicator and associated devices in it. Then you should be able to go back to new years 2007.
