    Hi all

If I wanted to mic an amp, like a Vox AC15 CC1, what would be the best mic to use, or good mic that won't cost me my marriage.....at this stage....GAS is a terrible thing.....(Bear in mind, I haven't yet got that amp, hence the marriage reference)....

for live use i'd say a bog standard mic like a shure sm57 will be absolutely fine,i wouldn't be abusing a good condenser or ribbon mic live
if i was recording though i'd use a combo of a dynamic and a condenser like an AKG C414
