Does ur college not send on your cv's for you, they did for me when I did my work experiance. I got a placement in AIB, so u could always send ur cv onto their hr team in Dublin. If ur any good after u finish college they often offer you a full time position.
Also try secondary schools or even try your own college they often hire on people, you will get loads of networking skills. The likes of Guinness and Coca-Cola also hire on students. You shouldnt have too much problem, especially if u are willing to travel.

    Best of luck

there is no work experience built into my degree which is a bummer so its up to ourselves to find it,not having that link between college and industry is a big setback but cheers for some ideas on where they might hire...

If you're really good: IBM Extreme Blue
You could also try signing up for Google's summer of code.

Look into the big banks, consultancies in London. They run structured programs for summer jobs. You will need to shake a leg though, the quicker the better.
