Well its do or die here for India, they are 4 men down at 90-4 desperate for Dhoni to do something special to save India.

India make a competitive 153-5 in the end. Doubt it'll be enough but they have a chance anyway.

Some good old fashioned choking here from South Africa, 17-3 they should have enough but christ tthey are making hard work of it.

Come on India knock them out, the horrible South Africa need 26 runs to qualify at the expense of the well mannered New Zealand.

    WTF happened to srilanka

    SEMI-FINALS/FINAL

    1st semi-final: New Zealand v Pakistan

    2nd semi-final: India v Australia Durban

Safe to say PAK vs AUS for the final, heres hoping its india vs pak
saying that i think if this is the case, aus's will strike back, it will be 2003 world cup final all over :(

Great bowling from the indians there but SA only have themselves to blame. All they needed was a mere 126 to qualify and they just choked as seems to be the norm with them. I thought this would be their tournament to win but yet again they don't turn up when it matters.

So the semis are India v Australia and NZ v Pakistan.

I was expecting them to win it too purely because of home advantage but should have expected them to choke!

Well done India, it's been a cracking tournament so far and there should be some fireworks in the last three games.

Twenty 20 the future of one day cricket?

Australia are vunerable at this format. they have already lost two matches. they were at the ir best V SL though.

India have something to prove after that world cup final and i actually find the india V aussie rivalary more interesting than the england/Aussie one.

India do tend to be competative V australia.

Im gonna stick my neck out and go for an Indian win.
Would love to see India V Pakistan again in the final.

I really hope not. I have enjoyed some of the excellent moments such as 6 sixes in an over by Yuvraj, Brett Lees hattrick. Chris gayles magnificent hundred. but for me Twenty 20 should be used as a platform to blood younger players so that they can progress to the ODI game and then on to the test stage.

India did the right thing in my opinion in leaving their senior statesmen out. wheter it of been an executive decision or players own decision.

20 OVERS seem a bit too short for the bowlers but considering batsmen will have to play faster they get their chance so i kinda do prefer the shorter version, watching 600 balls and around 300 block shots get really ZZzzzz
saying that ofcourse there has been some great proper 50ov ODI internationals.

well i hope india win the semis, you never know newz might beat pak even, not that its happened in yearsss ;)
