I bought an elecric razor recently. Upon opening I discovered that the power connection was european one. I rang the shop and the guy I got through to said that there is a new european directive in force which stated that all devices sold in europe had to come with this two pronged connection and that I had to buy a converter. Is this as much shi*e as I think it is?

all electric shavers come with a two pin plug. Its so you can use them in the special sockets you see in bathrooms. Get a shaver adaptor.
