A B&W treatment of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Canon 400D, Canon 10-22mm.

the composition is an interesting take on what must be one of the most photographed objects in the world. I would prefer the sky to be blacker. The whole picture looks a little grey and could do with more contrast

totally agree on the points above. this is a really stunning shot - nicely conceived.

    looks nice to me

whats the colour version like? (did you take a colour version) Is the bridge a nice colour red?

    Technically it's International Orange.

    I like the conversion above.

Really nice shot - I think the conversion shows a different side to the bridge.

I want to see it black... I really like that song from Rolling Gravel.
By the way, I can imagine something more contrasty. Very nice composition, but it "blends" somehow.
I am not going to post a thumbnail of my picture, but if you want... ;-)

The B&W is lovely lovely work. I wouldn't mind seeing a more contrasty colour version too though :)

the b&w version looks fine on my machine.

to my eye (or it could be on my laptop lcd) i don't care much for the b/w version - too grey / lifeless. sorry ;o(

but in colour (same image) it's really darn nice. only thing i'd try is maybe to bump ever so slightly the saturation. then i'd upload it to a stock photo website, sit back, and watch the money flow in ;o) - ah sure we can hope!

Calina did this (seen in a recent thread) with a transparent border which i think might look fine and dandy with the lines and shapes of your image.

Just a thought - maybe you like it the way it is.

maybe it's just me but I prefer the colour version. The totally blue sky goes well with the red bridge [on my laptop screen anyway].

i really think the colour version is a hell of alot more striking than the b+w version

There's something really art deco about it, I like. The style of the shot echoes the style of the structure, it's cool.

very nice, but a little over saturated for my taste

nice shots, I prefer the bw, the big blue sky overpowers the bridge
