Just spent what I suspect is far too long processing a shot from last weekend's wedding...

I blended two shots, one with the feet cut off and one with the heads, well, maybe I should say photoshop did

I really like it, but I'm not sure if I'm seeing something more in it because i took it, and now I've been looking at it for too long and I;m starting to wonder. Is it actually half decent...? Any screaming faux pas's?

While it does not look blended per se, I would, if I were you, be reluctant to submit it to the happy couple, not least because I don't think it flatters the lady to the left whose ankles, I must say, look less than natural.

If you/I were to pick anything out of it, it would be the two little girls.

Oh, this one is for me and not the bride & groom ;)

there is something in the image alright, probably the candid nature of the shot. the two girls pondering on eh, something(?) has a story in there but the balance of the image is way too busy for my liking. just a suggestion - crop down so that the from the bottom, 3/4 of the image is kept (hope that makes sense). i.e. get rid of top 1/4. This gets rid of the heads of all but the girls but also brings focus to the little ones. I'd also do the black border thing when crop'd - it lifts it. nice image though. cheers.

I'd have to agree - scrolling down so the girls' heads are top of the frame focusses in much better on what they're focussed in on. Which is god-knows-what. Which is kind of the point. I'm guessing shoes though :)

It just makes it that bit less distracting.

HAve you got an extra bit at the bottom by any chance on the original? So you're not cutting the woman's heels?

I could have kicked myself for cutting off the shoes :( Funnily enough the bit you're talking about cutting off the top, cuts off the bit I blended in! I liked it before but was going on another's suggestion.

Suppose its maybe just something to keep an eye out for in future, to frame them a bit better.

Ah poo :( Never cut the heels! (takes note!...)

Still - looks better without the top bit I reckon. Maybe the absence of the heels makes it more.. suggestive?

I really like what's going on in the shot, because it captures a very feminine scene. Even at such a young age, shoes are important to girls.

One question though, does the girl on the right have plastic bags on her feet?
Another question, is the line on the womans left ankle as a result of the blending, or does she have a snake tattoo

    Roffle!!!

no, just some of the most ugly shoes I've ever seen.

The lady in heels has a series of stars down her ankle.

Theres something engaging about it....not quite sure yet, the only problem i can see with it are the womans ankles....but im not gonna look at it for much longer to be honest as theres something quite freaky about those too girls...they almost look like they shouldnt be there..... god its like the shining! :D
