Can I use my iPod Nano (2nd Gen) on Linux?

The best linux iPod app is GTKpod. I used to use it with my gen one Nano and it should (I haven't tested) work fine with the gen two Nano.

Off the top of my head the following music apps all have some iPod support:

    - Rhythmbox
    - Amarok
    - Banshee

If you want a command line utility then there is 'Gnupod tools'.

My 2nd gen nano is working 100% with Amarok, album art and all!
