Several people have told me I could get a job in a bank for my gap year after getting As in both accountancy and business studies, but I do not know how to go about this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Op not clear to me how u can be a Graduate with a LC.

I am amazed to think that with an A in both acc and BS that you could not figure out that in 2007 there just might be a recruitment link on the websites of individual banks.

PTSB take entry level cashiers with just a Leaving. Check their site to see if they're recruiting.

Leaving cert is not relevant to a graduate position.

Of course you can get a job in a bank, pretty much anyone can going by what ive seen in workplaces in the past(I think thats actually a problem)

From the sounds of it you're very proud of your A's in Accounting and Business. Believe me they dont mean anything other than they help you get your foot in the door somewhere which to be honest as I have touched on before pretty much anyone can do these days if they go about it the right way.

I got a B in higher Business and an A in ordinary accountancy in my leaving by the way. Not once have these grades ever been reffered to since - advice is by all means go work in the bank for the year it will be good experience but get your head down in college and be prepared to have to work towards some qualifications before you make some real progress ;)
