Word 2007 - Send as attachment problem

When in Word 07, I want to send the file to an email. I hit that send as attachment button on the toolbar and the email appears fine. However when I put in the email address and click send, the email sends but it also stays on the screen. It stays there until I hit the X to close it, yet the email sends fine? Google…
