    Hi,

I bought a second hand graphics card on eBay from the States, which cost $225. I have just taken delivery of the card from the courier and had to hand over a VAT charge raised by customs for €44.16!

Is this normal practice when buying second hand goods?

    ~Paul.

Yeah, 21% for computer parts imported. No duty. What courier delivered? Am surprised there is no surcharge for charging you the VAT.
