Add old sky box without card ?

    Hi folks,
I noticed with my sky+ system, the LNB is a quad type - I'm guessing this as there are 2 empty sockets on the LNB and 2 used for my sky+.

I still have my old sky digital box, so can I connect that to one of the spare LNB sockets in another room ? What channels can I get if I do this without a card, or do I need to buy some sort of card for it ?

No big deal, as I do get the 8 analogue tv channels anyway, but might be a good use for the old box.

Alternatively, since I'm thinking of add a htpc to my setup, can I use some sort of DVB card in that in the same way as the old sky digibox ?

I have searched, but cant find any info on this.

    Thanks.

You can wire it up no problem. You will only get the FTA channels but there are loads. Most aren't that great but I'd say there are 10 to 20 that are watchable some of the time.

    BBC's
    ITV's
    Sky News [woo hoo]
    Film Four
One or two other movie channels [with adds]
a handful of other channels from various catagories. Have a scan through the stickies.
