Ok, been with bf for a while now, I was a virgin, he was not but, he was (and still is..to my knowledge) clean, he had tests every six months.

I noticed bumps down below, assumed they were ingrown hairs and ignored them, but now I'm not so sure, they're still there, I'm thinking HPV. My bf has no bumps or warts or whatever, so where did it come from...?

I am going to doctor next week for a perscription...so I will mention, also will he (my gp) check me out or will he refer me to a clinic or something?

    thanks

Self diagnosis is notoriously unreliable for all but the most basic of ailments.

Do talk to your doctor. I imagine the doctor might look, but if they think it is an STI, then its off to the GUM people with you. Don't worry the doctor has seen it all before and you aren't special. :D

Some STIs lay dormant for extended periods in one gender or both.

Jumping the gun a lot here (you'll want to see a doctor first) but HPV isn't covered in male STI tests (I'd love if someone could tell me I'm out-of-date on that info, but I'm pretty sure I'm not), so he could well have contracted it some time ago and not had it come up in tests.
