MTT with only 2 significant pay outs

    Blinds 200/400

    1: P1 10250
    2: P2 3850
    3: P3 6050
    4: P4 Button 8200
    5: P5 Hero SB 4750
    6: P6 BB 11500
    7: P7 9850
    8: P8 7650
    9: P9 5200

Note on Button: Aggressive in position and likes to make big plays

    Hero 9c 7c

Folded to Button who raises to 1200
    Hero calls 1200
    BB folds

    Flop: 6s 6c 7s

    Hero checks
    Button bets 2550

    Hero reraises all-in to 3550
    Button calls 3550

    Questions on play:

Is calling pre-flop with stop'ngo in mind OK with read and stack sizes?
Is changing mind on stop'n'go and check/raising here ok with holding?

I will show hand outcome later but don't want results thinking advice.

    Thanks.

Either fold or push preflop. Never flat call from the blinds for 1/4 of your stack with this hand.
If you're planning a stop n go, then push the flop, dont change your mind when you get there.
You dont have enough chips to check raise and your hand isnt strong enough to be trapping with.

You probably got a double up because he had AK and missed but this type of play will cost you big time in the long run

Preflop is bad. Either shove or fold.

Check raising is terrible as you have no folding equity.

You have to fold preflop, you need to have about 6 times as many chips as does he to make preflop even remotely ok. Flop is fine though, not much else you can do

    Correct.

    Villan had Q3s.

As Cardshark says I think my main mistake is stack size whilst playing this way. My choice to play this hand OOP was read/notes based.
