    The Da gave me a link to an apparently new way of generating electricity from wind. Its neither a horizontal or vertical turbine.

    Looks interesting. I've no idea what the payback time for an average household might be though, as they seem a bit pricey (see the order forms)...I suppose shipping might add considerably to the cost? Anyone got a feel for how this compares to the small domestic turbines in terms of output and value?

    Looks like they have converted their air raid sirens:p. They are a dam sight better than those offshore wind machines though. It would be a small price to pay for free energy that could probably provide power for a couple of houses, or small business.
