    Sorry to bring this up again, but im asking a genuine question.
    Once a person is after having an austrailian visa (the backpacker kind) can one get another one of those at all for a year or can they get sponsered or anything like that?
    Or is the only way is to apply for skilled migration?

    Not asking anything illegal here just want o know the rules for working in oz a 2nd year

    I heard they the increased their work holiday visa from one to 2 years. My GF was only there about 9 months so could she avail of one for another 15 months?

    They can get a 2nd WHV if they have worked enough time fruit-picking/harvest trail work

    Or is the only way is to apply for skilled migration?
    Skilled migrant/defacto/spouse visa is probably the only option if you don't qualify for extension visa

    No, you can get 1 visa, and extend it if you work 3months, she couldn't get one visa for 15months, but an extension on her first one, which would expire 12months (you need to apply in oz I think, but can use the 2nd visa a couple of years later if you wish) a slight difference.
