Travel Insurance

Hi All,

i am recently after coming back from a weeks hols in Spain on Fri and when i went to unpack that night we realised that my PSP(portable Playstation) with games and a few other things were no longer in my girlfriends handbag. I have checked the terms and conditions of the travel insurance and it states that the items have to be reported stolen in the country (i.e Spain) within a day of it being stolen but since i was no longer there i reported it to my local garda station next morning.

I suppose my question is has anyone tried to claim off travel insurance, how handy is it and do they give back full value or how do they work it, i know any chance they can sc*ew me they will and im not holding out much hope,

It will vary from policy to policy - simple solution is..contact your insurance provider.

I have contacted them and the have said they will send out a form where i have to clearly state what happend and send it back to them, after them they did not say what would happen

Just wondering did they pay your claim.

If you so, will you let me know the insurance company. I'm trying to sort out travel insurance for a round the world trip.
