From some reason I usually do OK in rebuy sats, despite really disliking them and not having a concrete strategy for them. Other than auto rebuying at the start (for the same reasons as being fully topped in a cash game) and topping up at the break if you're in the middle of the pack or better, I'm sort of lost as to the strategic adjustments that should be made from a freeze-out. Anyone got any gems of wisdom?

Play is generally a lot losser because people can just rebuy if they're busted. There's a lot more free chips for a TAG player to pick up than the generally tighter freezeouts.

For something like the $3 ot $8 rebuys on stars, i'd be willing to get 4 or 5 rebuys in the 1st level if thats what it takes. If theres 2 or more allins, i'll nearly always stick it in with any 2 remotely playable cards for value.

If you lose, the chips stay at the table so you just have to hope that you're not moved before you get a chance to win them back.

Its pretty easy to get a ticket for the million through a $3 rebuy and i'd have no hassle spending $30 or $40 a pop until i get in. I've got in got $3 before by getting lucky early on so just gamble like a lunatic the 1st couple of levels.
