Anyone else kind of hoping Leamy is cited might see Eddie forced to shuffle the backrow and bring in Neil Best who I believe is the only player who would not only relish the challenge of stopping Chabal but would have the physicality to do it.

NZ have Collins, SA have Burger, France have Chabal

    Ireland have Best :p

He can't be cited now because 48 hours have passed since the game against georgia. Beside I seem to remember Leamy and the Munster boys getting on just fine against Chabal the last time they played him. Chabal and Neil Best are slightly overatted they will make a couple of showstopping big hits every 20 minutes or so with a big carry or two thrown in and that will be about it, and neither put in a full 80 minute performance.

    +1, very well put.

Did this really merit a new thread? You said the same thing in the other thread.

By the way, considering N Best isn't an 8, Wallace isn't an 8, Quinlan isn't an 8, and Easterby sure as hell isn't an 8, who in this fantasy of yours is actually going to play at 8?

Huh? What planet are you on? Chabal is unrelentingly awesome and apart from having brute strength, he can jump, tackle, maul, sprint, oh, and score tries. An not only against the Namibians

The planet where he is anonymous in every second game he plays for Sale and France?

So he can do exactly what other rugby players can do? I agree, its just that the very best ones do it much more consistantly. I will not deny for a second has all the physical attributes to be a great player but I am by no means alone in believing he lacks the rugby brain to make the best use talents

    Agreed.
He stands out because of his looks. Doesn't mean he's a great player because he looks dramatic.

Sorry I mistakenly thought that they decide on the citation 48 hours after the game and today being Tuesday I thought the decision was being made today in which case it would have merited a new thread. Apologies.

Chabal's a choker. Goes missing in the big games. Wallace can play 8 though bugler. And much as Leamy hasn't impressed, he still won us the game against Georgia.

Leamy mightn't have been at his best so far but imo he has been the best of a bad lot in the back row

Who got under the ball in the closing minutes to prevent Georgia from scoring?
Leamy is the best we have at number eight.

And is known for being notoriously lazy in the breakdown.. he can hit (the hit on Masoe was hard!) but he aint all that.. As was said before he can go missing in crunch games
