TV Guide Problem

I got Sky+ a few weeks ago and all worked fine on my 10 year old bog standard Beko TV.
I was then given a new (to me) Sharp TV (not sure what model but it's a standard 21" CRT). I programmed the Sky remote for it as per the manual and it all works fine except for when I press 'TV Guide'.
The screen flashes about 3/4 times before going into the TV Guide and has 'Scart' written in the top right-hand corner. It's only a little problem but very annoying

Has anyone come across this?

by any chance do you have the VCR scart from the digi box connected to the TV?

Nope, just checked and it's defintely in the 'TV Scart'

you can switch scart switching off in the menu if you want and select the scart on the tv remote. check and see if the format in the box is set to 4:3.
it may be worth clearing any macros from the remote press TV hold the select and green button red light flashes twice then press select again.
