Heading to the States on friday for a 2 week holiday. I've just double checked everything I need to do to get in via the Visa Waiver Program here.

The only thing I'm not 100% sure on is the I-94W form that is required. I assume this is something I can pick up and fill in at the airport?

    Thanks.

As far as I can remember they will offer the form on the flight over and also at your arrival airport.

    Have a nice holiday.:)

If you are going from an airport which has pre-clearance you will get it at check in to be filled in before you clear US immigration.

As far as i can remember its the green form.

Yep the green I-94W, you will pick up and fill out before leaving for your destination in the US. You will get a white customs form also for turning in to the US Customs when you land. Safe trip and enjoy.

Sweet-as. I'm flying from Shannon so I assume it'll be taken care of at or around US Immigration there. Cheers for the help everyone.

We got them on the plane a couple of weeks ago on the way over, not much to worry about.
Two finger prints and a photo on arrival and you're good to go.

God I wish I was still there this week, some change from 35 degress to near freezing in a couple of days.....

Green form is Visa Waver, White is Customs. You should be given both at check in. Make sure you fill both in before you approach U.S. Immigration in Shannon. They will go through the Green One and you will clear immigration there, they normally check you have the white one completed as well although you won't need it till you land and collect you bags so make sure you have it as you go to clear customs at the other end.

Believe me it is great we can clear Immigration here as i flew into Huston about 2 years ago from London and i was queuing for about 2 hours just to clear Immigration, here it takes like 5 minutes.

Sweet, glad thats all that needs to be done. Can't wait for this trip, its my first time outside Europe and we'll be taking in San Francisco, NY and Boston with brief stops in LA and Denver. Anyone got any recommendations for must-see/must-do activities in any place?

In New York probably my fondest memory was the Staten Island ferry which leaves from the very tip of Manhattan, it's free and leaves very frequently, and offers a pretty special view of the city. You can just hop on and take the journey, then come straight back. Theres a subway stop pretty nearby as I recall. Central Park is obviously worth a look too.

If you're a sports fan then the tour of Madison Square Garden is a must, they bring you all around the place, into the private boxes and dressing rooms and so on. And if you are in New York for a few days theres a very strong chance you can catch some hockey or basketball, or maybe take a trip up to Yankee Stadium for the baseball.

In San Francisco I loved just taking the trolley or walking the streets. Walking the Golden Gate Bridge is a must, and Alkatraz was good to see. We also did a walking guided tour of Chinatown, also quite interesting. If you have any more specific questions feel free to ask, I only spent about a week in each place though so I mightn't be the best person to ask!

Dont go to the Yankees this year what ever you do its looking like a very interesting race in the final stretch between the New York Mets and the Philles if I were you I would get out to Shea Stadium in Queens and take in the action. The Mets are currently ahead of the Phillies and look like they might clinch the title you might acually be ther for the presnetation on the NL East title. I wish i was going your going to love it. New York is so cool.

If you fancy a bit of cheap shopping without paying alot for the bus to get there I would recommend Jersey Gardens its only 20 mins from the Port Authority Bus Station check out http://www.jerseygardens.com/ all the clohes are pretty cheap there. Aslo make sure to take the gray line night tour of New York I have been on all there tours and that one is by far the best.
