    For some reason Play will only ship that item to UK addresses.

    Anyway, its far to late to be pre-ordering it. A lot of web sites stopped taking pre-orders on it about a month ago.

    For Halo fans, its the most prized pack of them all.

    Surprised Play are so late with it.

    Don't know mate, but websites like game took pre-orders on this item back in May, and stopped taking them ages ago. I reckon they'll push people into one of the other flavours being released.

    There are only a limited number of the legendary version of Halo 3 being produced, so If you haven't pre-ordered in the last few months, I doubt pre-ordering a week before its being released is going to do any good.

    I can see a couple of reasons:

    1) If they get more then expected they can sell them on
    2) They can go back to MS and say look we got X more people, can we get some extras please?
    3) Hope that when they turn you down (sorry we only got a certain amount alloted and can't deliver yours) that you pick another package from them
    4) People who hear about it will check them out

    hmv.co.uk has done similar things before as well in regards to collectors editions etc. They are listed long after all other places sell out only to come back and go "sorry can't delivery this but we can offer you X, Y and Z instead for this price and promise it will be there the same day".
