Advice sought for new build

Considering going down the custom build road pretty soon.

Need something that is capable of handling RAM thirsty applications and is able to put up with my multitasking.

I have already picked out a case, 2 500gb Hardrives and a Samsung 19" TFT.

Im looking for suggestions for a graphics card, motherboard and ram and CPU. The new Dual Core would be nice but a P4 would do for my needs. Plan to run Vista Business on it.

Budget wise, around €300 to spend on the graphics card, motherboard RAM and CPU. Around 500 already allocated to the monitor/hard drives etc

I dont do any gaming therefore graphics are not important.

Thats a pretty tight budget you are better off going AMD with that in mind

and if you needed any more performance; you could probably overclock and bring that c2d up to at least 3GHz without even upping the voltage
the motherboard wouldnt even break a sweat with a 272FSB
