Well its been out a good few days now, what are peoples experiences with it?

Thinking of getting one myself as its got the Go Cam for free which basically makes it a handy travel camera and very appealing. The thing that put me off the original was the size but thats not an issue now its alot neater.

Please dont call it rubbish/brilliant without a valid point to back it up.
Anyone got a list of future games btw?

    Thanks

Also if some people could put up some good deals here it would be great.

Gamestation in Stephens Greenn have it for 209 with a new release game.

Also includes USB charger and Go Cam and carry case

Got mine in HMV in henry street for €179 with a free game (not a new release game).
Its very good. As for upcoming releases:

Disgaea, God of War, Final Fantasy Crisis Core

Yep. Games are region free. UMDs aren't.

Hmmm, are they normally downloaded from a Sony region site?

Can anyone give me a good explanation of a Homebrew with regards to PSP, what exactly gets modified on them?

Google Pandora's Brick or Unbricker Battery, apparently will work with the psp lite too! Haven't sorted it out myself yet as I have to get a homebrewed psp to make the battery and card!

USB charger? it's just a standard USB cable, fairly damn cheeky of them if they're advertising it as that...

I'd love a PSP, they have the slim ones in Xtravision for 179 but it doesn't come with any games or anything I don't think.
I used to always play GTA on my ex's PSP and I really miss that!
Just a few questions though... is it worth getting, are there a good variety of games. I don't like fighting games, or racing games (apart from silly ones like Crash Team Racing) or PES tbh but are there a lot of other ones... I know I sound like an idiot right now.
I know GTA will keep me entertained for months because I'll never actually complete it but I think I'd like The Sims on it, is that any good?

Are there any games similar to Zelda or say Pokemon, where you are a character going through levels...will Final Fantasy be kind of like that?

I have a PSone and the games I have include:
Theme Park World, Spyro, Tony Hawk, Crash Bandicoot Time Warped, Crash team racing...
do you think the PSP is for me, with my (shít, i'll admit) taste in games?

Also, how well does the internet work on the PSP and if i go into a place with free internet, can I check my emails/myspace/bebo on the PSP and how well does it work?

Yet another question, about the memory cards...can you used any type and does the PSP come with one?

Here is a great list of pretty much every good game on the platform.

The best game on the system by a country mile (of what I've played) is Loco Roco. Given your list of games there you'll probably be interested in Daxter and Ratchet & Clank aswell.

Final Fantasy will be pretty close to pokemon (without the pokemon) but I'm not sure it'll be any good, it's a pretty ancient game so it won't be nearly as accessible as pokemon. I think there's other, better options like Monster Hunter out there but haven't actually got round to play any so I'm not too sure.

I wouldn't get too excited about using it for internet access though. It can do the things you asked about, but just barely and it's as slow and awkward as hell. I tend to avoid that function.
