I can't believe you get paid for that.

Was looking through the property section of 'de paper at the weekend and it had a full page article about how house prices drop the further you get from Dublin. Well there's the scoop of the century - well done that man. How the hell did he get that one past his boss?

Anybody know some other one's? Easy targets like Steve Staunton, the Irish rugby team, the Cork back line and Bertie Ahern are likely to provide low comedy value.....

My expose will be on how it hurts more to be hit by a car travelling 80kph than one travelling 5kph, with Gilson also doing the demonstrations. :)

...until you reach the Galway Commuter Belt, when they shoot back up again

Seriously though. The "journalism" in this country sucks. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the Irish media is about as vacuous, brain-dead, and lacking in critical analysis as the US media. No, scratch that. Having lived in both countries, some of the more high-quality US media is far, far superior to the smug VI consensus blether and downright lies that pass for "broadsheet" "journalism" in Ireland.

Reminds me of the 'breaking news!' we had a few months back informing us that after a laborious survey, groceries are actually more expensive in Spar than they are in your supermarket!!! It was all over the news and the papers for about 2 days!!

    FFS!

ah yes, and the "cocaine is now in every town in Ireland" springs to mind.

No, I was shocked to. but appartently we all now have access to the white stuff. and its becoming rampant. even outside of Dublin.
