Working flight operations in the airport

Does anyone have any info on working in flight operations in the airport? Specifically as a dispatcher or something similar. I'd like a change from IT. I've always been into aviation and always enjoyed the busyness of the airport.

But I cant find info on becoming a dispatcher or anything similar anywhere. I know DIT do a two year course in it but surely that's not a pre-requisite? Does anyone have info or experience they can share working on the ground with planes/operations in the airport? And how would I go about looking for these jobs (nothing on the DAA website)?

"Sky Handling Partner" and "Servisiair" are just 2 of the Ground Handling companies based in Dublin Airport.
Their websites sometimes have vacancies for Flight dispatchers/baggage Handlers and Check-In Staff.

    Best of luck!
