i was reading the thread cork airsoft battles, and i have to say to all airsofters it was not a good read, the sport is getting bigger evey day with more pepole hearing about it, and so we will be getting a lot of new players on boards, so i was thinking if they have there point of view on some thing why not point them to facts like the cjb where the law is and not what we say it is, and they can read it for them selfs, and not get in to some name calling thread as it did, if i did not play airsoft and if i read what was said, i wound think long and hard before i wound play airsoft with them, if that was the way they talked to me, and not just airsofters there are mam's and dad's that read it too ,
rember what i say before the start of evey game allways give them the bebfit of the dout.
ps, if any one wants to fix my spelling feel free.

Nonex, giving people the benefit of the doubt in a pre game briefing is all well and good. Doing so on a forum which is viewable to the public is a completely different matter.

Generally, people will be accommodating to new genuine posters. However, there are some circumstances where issues arise. Such as one like this where someone new starts posting things which could be considered dangerous.

If a person comes in here and states something that is obviously wrong and could get someone arrested or shot, like "It's perfectly fine to brandish an airsoft in public", You shouldn't need to point them toward a specific law to state otherwise. It's just common sense.

If they continue on like this without taking heed of many posters who know what they're talking about, well, they're either extremely stubborn or a troll trying to get a rise out of the regulars. Two traits which usually don't go down too well on internet forums.

Unfortunately I was not around today. If I was it would have been locked a lot sooner. Thankfully though, threads don't take this kind of a turn very often.
