    Kind of a rhetorical question..

Do you ever get sick of the way that there's always traffic on the road when you're trying to get somewhere in a rush?

Methinks the OP needs a) a new local b) some new friends c) to go travelling and gain some life experience d) to stop drinking e) to get an atari jaguar. Like an actual atari jaguar.

It's one outside of Leixlip, yes?
I only ask because the Hitcher kicked ass. It was the best pub evar. FACT.

Then don't be a sheep , go carve your own life. It's hard at first but the other option is sit there watching those with less ambition let their life drip away, and they'll be looking right back at you doing the same. Life is not about sitting around doing what everyone else is doing it's about finding things that rise the passion inside you and sharing it with people who appreciate that. It's about recognising what is or isn't for you and having the balls to go and do something about when all around are content to pretend they're content. Then when you return to the pubbers they'll still be there a bit fatter, older, balder, greyer and you might even be glad to meet them, ....that once a year.

It wasn't. It was a kip and not even a likeable kip.

I left home when I was 18. I'm 34 now. But on the odd weekend I go home, I can walk into 2 pubs and know for a fact that the same bunch of lads I grew up with will be occupying the very same seats and having the very same conversations as when I was 18. Tis depressing really...

    Are you mad?

It was the best pub ever.

Where else could you get warm, watered down beer in a plastic cup and then get bottled on the way home?

Most other pubs in Leixlip? At least they replaced the Ditcher with a Lidl, keep it about the same class level.

Have to agree with you there. I worked on the door there for awhile.

There, The Rye Vale (O-zone, fvcking War-zone more like), and Highway 66 in the village..

Leixlip, no there's somewhere you won't find the Taliban, their bleed'n terrified of the place.

Anyway OP, no I've never really experienced that problem.

However I have went to a new pub and found it better than my old local and switched boozers. Maybe you just need a change of scenary.

How many years have you been going? I did that for about 3 years and then finally I branched out, different pubs, different friends, sports, activities....you'll be much better off if you try that :)

No, but if you are that bored Try either drinking more or else doing other things to entertain you or if you dont need other forms of entertainment try drinking in your house and watching a comedy show or else go back to pre-16, go for a few cans in the field on a nice day.
Or you could have a drinking competation...

I dont know what else to suggest that might enhance your drinking experience... I suppose you could get new friends? you would have new stories to tell/hear and it would all be new again

You need to look at life through a different pair of eyes. Its around 20k for a blue pair, includes installation but only 1 years maintenance. Shipping costs may vary.

i know what you mean, i was in england for 3 years and came home and there they all were, so went to oz for a year, came back, yip there they were, went to spain for 3 months, you guessed it same bar, same seats, same drinks the only thing that changed was girlfriends, waist sizes and hairlines.

they are no longer friends - having said that when i do ocassionally go out in my home town, they arent there arent anymore - hmm i wonder did they finally get lives ????

Its funny as some people I know consider going out drinking in pubs as "getting a life"
