Getting in to matches with a friend's ticket?

Just wondering, I have a quarter final ticket from the world cup website, so it has my name on it and is fully legit.

I've managed to get one of the "wavering supporters" to give me his ticket because a friend of mine wants to come to the quarters with me.

The ticket doesnt have his name on it though, it has the other lad's name printed at the bottom.

Will he be able to get into the game in Cardiff with me even though his name isnt on the ticket?

Do they really check that sort of thing. I mean what if you just bought the ticket (not that there would be any going) from ticketmaster (HMV without a credit card if they still do that) or won it in a competition.

Thats what we're wondering.. It'd be a pain to get as far as the gate and not be allowed in!

well there was only about 32000 at the georgia game and they didn't check tickets so I couldn't imagine them checking for the thousands in cardiff.. thats a lot of hard work!

I was at the Argintina Japan game in Cardiff in '99. Just bought a ticket outside, mid price range. Sh!t, couldda bought the lowest price range and walked into the dear seats. Was only half full, and don't remember much in the way of stringent ticket check...well they were selling them on the street 20 mins before kickoff!!!! Granted, it wasn't a QF game
