I wonder is a sim card is widely available when arrives in Israel, is there proof of id requirement, cost, etc.

The forum mr flodis refers to has basic info on the two operators and their websites are in hebrew, of which i'm not a scholar!

Nazoil: I Asked An Israeli mate of mine on irc, I'll paste what he typed.
you don't need any ID to buy a sim card in Israel. When it comes to cell phone venders - Israel is one of the highest in cell phone use in the world, so you'll see a vendor almost at every corner. Just make sure you have a sim-free cell and it will be alright. The 2 major cell phone vendors which sell SIM's are Orange and Cellcom (look them up if you have any questions - I think they have an English site) sic.
