Torrent tracker causing problem?

I use my PC almost exclusively for online poker. I have utorrent installed but i hardly ever use it.
I have noticed though that when i do use it i end up having connection problems when playing poker for days afterwards. I get disconnected constantly and have lag problems when playing. The last time i used utorrent was 6 days ago and my connection has been bad since.

I have IBB Breeze 3MB. I just did a test and it returned Download @ 1962kb/s, Upload @ 275kb/s and Ping 142ms. My PC has 2MB Ram and a dual core processor.

Is this coincidence or could utorrent be causing this problem?

Is utorrent closed? It might be obvious, but check the status bar on the bottom right for a green U.

Irish Broadband is terrible in general I think when it comes to ping, I think maybe they could be throttling your bandwidth and response time because they recogonoise you use Bittorrent, just a theory of course. Your hardware is definently not the problem
