Nintendogs - which dog?

Want to get nintendogs for my 5 year old son. Not sure which dog to get, is there much difference in the games. thanks Lisa

All of the dogs are unlockable later on in the game, it all boils down to which breed you want to be available to you at the start of the game.
I'd go for dalmatian and friends, as far as I remember that has decent dogs like the golden retreiver selectable at the start

yup it doesent matter but theres is different unlockables apart from different breeds

I would go for Dalamation, then Labrador, Dachound and finally Chichuachua. Labrador was the most popular out of the three on release.
