I've recently bought my first mac, one of the now old model iMacs. I want to put boot camp on it in order to run a few apps I need for college, and my expansive PC games collection (I just never throw them out...)

I need a full version of windows to do this, and the cheapest I can find is an OEM version. This will still work fine, right? I know the basics of what OEM software is, I'm just not too sure on how boot camp will react to it.

This vague old model of iMac has an intel chip, right? If it doesn't then I'm pretty sure that your hopes of running XP are boned. as for your real question, I dunno :D

It's only just become an old model with the new imac's release. I got it less than two months ago.

Yup it should work like a charm.

EDIT: Make sure if its Windows XP that it is SP2. Of course it will be if you buy new. Home and Professional both fine. And all the Vistas should work too.
